Freak Egg

The red sex-link, Miss Red, hasn’t been laying. The heat is just too much for her, I think.

But it didn’t stop her from trying to lay on one of the cooler days. I got this tiny egg with a shell swirl on top. No yolk inside, just egg white.

That egg looks like it should contain Silly Putty!

BTW, I like the picture on your fridge. ๐Ÿ™‚

How strange! Last week we had our first double yolker, so that was fun. Well, it was fun for us, but it was so big it couldn’t have been too much fun for the poor hen!

What a wonderful egg! I have mostly Aracaunas & Black Sexlinks and get something different like that every great once in a while,,, I do how ever in the spring get ALOT of double and triple yoke eggs. My girls are largely free range,,, or porch sitters.

They wait on the front step for me to come out and give them bread, fresh fruit slices, a scoop of corn, or any other tasty hand out. How people could not enjoy such a funny and unique pet, I will never know. My 10 girls are positively addictive. And more loyal then any dog…. They NEVER wander.
